Election 2024: Financial Policy in the Next Administration

Join us for a panel discussion on the implications of the election for financial policy, moderated by Christina Skinner, co-director of WIFPR. This conversation will explore how the election will affect financial policy. Professor Skinner will be joined by:

  • Michael Faulkender, University of Maryland
    • Assistant Secretary for Economic Policy at the Treasury (2019-2021)
  • Aaron Klein, Brookings
    • Deputy Assistant Secretary for Financial Policy at the Treasury (2009-2012)
  • Andrew Olmem, Mayer Brown
    • Deputy Director of the National Economic Council (2018-2020)
  • Graham Steele, Stanford
    • Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions at the Treasury (2021-2024)

These panelists will bring their private-sector, academic, and government experience to discuss key topics, such as the future of bank policy and the prospects for crypto regulation.
